Pediatric:
0-2 yrs: 0.5pk. Green top
2-10 yrs: 2 mL Green top
Collection Information: Cleanse site with soap and water only. Do not use alcohol prep (isopropyl pad) or SoluPrep (chlorhexidine/70 % isopropyl alcohol) pads.

Collect blood aseptically into a Vacutainer tube.

Serum from a 5 mL Gold top or 6 mL Red top Vacutainer tube is also acceptable.

Storage & Shipment: Serum/Plasma must be separated within 2 hours of collection as the specimen must be analyzed immediately after opening the sample tube. Precautions should be taken to prevent alcohol evaporation.
