Pediatric:
0-2 years: 0.5 mL Lavender pk.
2-10 years: 3 mL Lavender top
Collection Information: Minimum volume required is 1.0 mL

Collect sample in time for testing by noon on Friday.

The screening test is negative for Hereditary Spherocytosis. The method is highly predictive for HS, however, may not be reliable in post-splenectomy patients or in Hereditary Spherocytosis due to an ankyrin deficiency.

The screening test is positive for Hereditary Spherocytosis.
