Interpretive Comments: The test detects hCG at concentrations of 25 IU/L or more.

The test has been standardized to the W.H.O third international standard.

The test is capable of detecting Pregnancy as early as 1 day after the first missed menses.

Very dilute urine-specific gravity less than 1.010, may give false negative results.

The test reliably detects intact hCG up to a level of 500,000 IU/L.

Human anti-mouse antibodies (HAMA) in the serum/plasma specimen can interfere in the assay to give false positive results.
