Interpretive Comments: CRITICAL VALUE to be phoned to Nurse or Physician immediately:
i.e. Quinidine: >18.5 µmol/L

Antiarrhythmic drug. Levels are useful in assessing compliance and toxicity. Active metabolites are measured in this procedure. Wait 1-2 days to measure after dosage change. Dilantin decreases Quinidine level. Quinidine increases Digoxin level.
