Collection Information: Parathyroid related peptide assay is ordered when a patient with clinical symptoms of hyper-parathyroidism has normal PTH values.

Avoid gel-separator tubes.

Separate and freeze as soon as possible within 2 hours of collection. If the specimen thaws, it is unsuitable for analysis.
